GOOD TO SEE YOU
Hi, I am Lisa.
I was born and raised in a quaint mountain and lake village near beautiful Lucerne – Switzerland’s city of lights.
From an early age, I found myself intrigued by the eccentric and unconventional – people who pushed against the status quo of village life and forged their own unique paths. In particular, my fascination turned to those of different cultures who – on rare occasion – stumbled into our village aware or unaware. I spent countless hours wondering what it would be like not only to know their stories but to experience them.
With the passage of time, the desire to engage with other cultures and perspectives ushered me into adulthood. Significant stints in Australia, France, Spain, and Mexico fed my appetite and curiosity for language learning and cultural immersion. And after finishing my economics degree at University of Fribourg and a volunteer project in
South Africa, I went on to work and train in various cultures and professional contexts – setting up and advertising acting workshops in Los Angeles, working for international companies in marketing in Zurich and Vienna, and completing a training program in practical filmmaking at Ealing Studios in London where I wrote, produced, and directed my first short film.
Nothing has reflected my passion for life more than a films ability to imitate and reflect life by inviting others to not only observe a broader world … but to experience it in unique ways. It is my deep and insatiable desire to make films that move viscerally, challenge intellectually, and stimulate visually – in a way that challenges preconceptions, broadens perspective, and assists us all in experiencing the world and each other a little more richly.
